Our top 5 dog-friendly, Manchester-based meeting spaces

If you will allow us, we want to step away from content writing for a moment. For those of you who have seen our about us page, you’ll know that we have a rather large Shar Pei-Rottweiler-Bear mixed-breed called George. Or “Hound of the Baskerville” as our business coach likes to call him.

As a sociable, networking business, juggling business life with a dog-owning personal life can be difficult. You may already be lucky enough to work in a space that allows dogs, but what if you need to go to a meeting? You would have to leave the dog behind.

Or is there an alternative? As exciting as your office may be, staring at the same four walls all day can take its toll on both you and your pet. We have scoured our home of Manchester to find the best locations that are both perfect for a meeting and perfect for your pooch.

For those who are juggling their responsibility as a business owner and pet owner, here’s our rundown:

  1. The Banyan Tree

  2. Foundation Coffee House

  3. Roc & Rye

  4. Albert's Schloss

  5. The Wharf

The Banyan Tree

Always a favourite go-to of ours. Handy too as it's just off Deansgate with relatively decent parking. There are seats outside for when the temperature soars, and when those grey clouds roll in, there's plenty of room inside. The beer's colds and the food's amazing. Even for those with allergies and challenging macros, there's something for everyone. And the noise level is always decent so it's never too loud you have to shout or too quiet that everyone can hear the finer details of your new contract! Plenty of space for your dog to relax, too. Even for bigger dogs like our George!

Foundation Coffee House

Remarkable decor, exceptional coffee, and even better cakes. What more do you need? Based on Lever Street in the Northern Quarter, Foundation Coffee House is a safe bet if you think a bar might not be the right atmosphere but still want to meet somewhere with a great look. Of course, there's plenty of space, and lots of opportunity for your dog to meet a friend.

Roc & Rye

A more recent addition to King Street, Roc & Rye will help you add that extra touch of class for any meeting. With a great drink selection and stunning decor, you effortless blend the best of both worlds, without leaving your little one behind.

Albert's Schloss

Need I say more? Who doesn't love Albert's Schloss on a Friday night? Or a Tuesday? Or… any night for that matter? When it's not wall-to-wall with the weekend crowd, Schloss is actually one of our favourite daytime hangouts, and, they welcome your dogs too. They have the best fruit teas and superfood salad too in our humble opinion. If you're looking for an easy to get to, dog-friendly Manchester hangout, Albert's Schloss in a no-brainer.

The Wharf

Last, but certainly not least, The Wharf. Situated in Castlefield, you've got a grand walk down the canal before and after your meeting and a warm welcome inside. Fantastic food, excellent service, and the perfect place for a meeting. Great place for your dog to socialise and a cool vibe for you. We particularly love the old school bookcases; but then again, we are writers.

If you’ve got any hidden gems, let us know and we'll add them to our dog-friendly Manchester meeting space list - giving you full credit of course! While you're at it if you want to take your content to the next level, why not give us a call on 07462 455 894? Dogs optional.
